Valentino is set to unveil its latest advertising campaign this week, starring international friends of the brand Zendaya and Lewis Hamilton.
Named after Creative Director Pier Paolo Piccioli, the ‘Pink PP’ Winter 2022 collection is all about evoking feelings of “passion, energy and love”, with its monochromatic palette designed to represent freedom as an attitude.
Captured by photographer Nicolas Kern, with creative direction from Law Roach, campaign imagery sees both the Euphoria actress and Formula 1 star strike poses against a vibrant pink backdrop, sporting pieces from the daring new collection.
Explaining the concept behind the latest designs, Piccioli says in a press release: “One colour, bold, strong, fluid, extravagant, one colour to summarise everything I like in fashion and everything that I choose to represent: the liberation from the ordinary, a space to be oneself, a loud symbol for equality and love.”
“The idea of Pink as a barrier breaker was born long ago. With my work I must be able to tell and share my values through one single picture and I wanted to apply the same paradigm to one colour. As a consequence it was almost natural to me to look (and find) something that could embrace the need for expression and representation of a new and liberated humanity. I chose Zendaya and Lewis for the PINK PP for the same reason I created this colour, beautiful souls that use their voice and talent to unify, integrate, build.”
The Valentino ‘Pink PP’ collection is available to shop in-store and online now.
