This Viral Concealer Trend Defines Your Bone Structure Like Nothing Else

If you happen to know a concealer hack (or seven), it’s highly likely that your makeup game is strong.

Whether you’re a fan of the ultra-brightening white concealer trend, prefer to layer on multiple shades of concealer, or even if you can’t get enough of concealer lips (yep, the 00s are back in business), it’s clear that your trusty concealer is more than deserving of a regular spot in your makeup bag

Let’s face it, concealer is one of the most versatile beauty products on the market. Tired eyes? No problem. Stubborn spots? See ya. As well as being a magic eraser for blemishes, concealer is an essential element of the holy trifecta of contouring, alongside blusher and bronzer

And the latest TikTok makeup trend shows us exactly why.

One TikTok user, @ahlamworld, shows us how it’s done. She starts by swiping concealer under her eye, from the brow line to the inner corner, before tracing the product around her nose, under one nostril, back around her lip and back across her cheek.

It’s kind of like drawing a backwards number ‘5’ – you just follow the natural contours of your facial features, one side of your face at a time. Here’s how @ahlamworld does it:

Here’s another take by a TikTok user, @sarah_wolak, who was one of the first to try the technique:

Next up to try the trend is @suzi_sina, who applies the concealer to a full face of makeup, using cult-favourite Maybelline Instant Anti-Age Eraser Concealer (currently £8.99 at LookFantastic).

This time, she starts at her chin and steadily works her way up her facial features. The result is pretty heavenly. See for yourself, here:

Another TikTok user, @katyaniomi, tried out the trend, referring to it as the “snatched [a term that originates in Black drag culture] concealer hack.” Using Elf Cosmetics Camo concealer, Katy swipes the product under her eyes, down and around her nose, around her mouth, and defining her cheekbones.

She then blends the concealer using a beauty sponge from Morphe, blending as neatly as possible to get “the full effects of the hack.” Watch the video, here:
