Stranger Things: Maya Hawke Is Uma Thurman And Ethan Hawke’s Daughter

Maya Hawke is officially part of the most talked-about teen gang on Netflix right now, as a star of the much-awaited Stranger Things season 4.

Since it’s been two years since the last installment of Stranger Things, fans of the science-fiction show are taking to social media to discuss their favourite stars, characters and plotlines – as well as the famous parents of one actor on the show, aka Maya.

Of course, fans have loved Maya since she joined the show in series three, adding a shiny new female character to the main cast. Alongside Millie Bobby Brown’s character, Eleven, and Sadie Sink’s Max, Robin closes the gap between the number of male and female adolescents in the show.

On top of this, the internet is going crazy for Maya Hawke, the actress behind Robin’s character, who also happens to be the daughter of Hollywood actors Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke. The close resemblance between Hawke and her parents is impossible to ignore.

One fan wrote on Twitter: “I just also discovered that Maya Hawke, Stranger Things’ very own Robin, is the daughter of Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke. WTH!!!,” but another added: “how did most people not know maya hawke is the daughter of uma thurman and ethan hawke??? the genes are SO STRONG.”

Another joked: “Maya Hawke is the only nepotism baby I don’t mind.”

Having previously played Jo March in a 2017 BBC miniseries adaptation of Little Women, Hawke is no stranger to the television screen, yet her joining of the most popular teenage television gang has rocketed her into the spotlight.

Ethan Hawke is seriously proud of his daughter for her role in the Netflix smash hit. The 51-year-old Training Day actor, who shares Maya with Uma Thurman, publicly praised the 23-year-old in a gushing post on Instagram back in 2019.
