Los Angeles-based fashion brand Rails has announced a new collection of premium denim launching this autumn.
The new line includes seven classic silhouettes with a focus on super soft hand feel and vintage-inspired designs that reflect the brand’s Southern California heritage. Each style in the collection is named after a Los Angeles neighbourhood such as “The Melrose” and “The Topanga”.
The Rails denim collection will include jeans, jackets, and skirts in key washes, with finishing techniques such as hand-sanding and whiskering for an authentic worn-in look. The denim is sourced from mills that employ sustainable practices and use more environmentally kind yarns such as organic cotton and recycled materials.
Rails Founder and Creative Director, Jeff Abrams says that he’s excited about this launch because it’s an important step in the brand’s evolution. “We have focused the last two years on developing and perfecting our denim collection alongside a team of best-in-class designers and manufacturers,” he explains.
As well as committing to sustainable production practices, the brand has also partnered with Water.org to support their mission to bring clean water and sanitation to people in developing countries. Each item sold will fund one year of safe water access for one person.
The collection will be available online exclusively at railsclothing.com and selected retailers including Shopbop and Trilogy London. Prices range from £140 to £198.
The brand is also opening a flagship store in London’s Covent Garden before the end of the year, after the success of its pop-up in Selfridges. Rails also opened flagships in New York and San Francisco in the past year.
Rails Covent Garden will be located on Floral Street and will be a combination of showroom and retail store, providing an immersive experience of the brand.
