Up-and-coming designer Oluwole Olosunde has taken to Instagram to unveil the first look at his pending debut shoe release for his Against Medical Advice brand.
Know most widely as Guacawole online, Oluwole Olosunde uses his background in healthcare to fund his Against Medical Advice brand, which is a label inspired by human anatomy and the wide-ranging cultures of New York City. Unveiling his debut ‘AMA Hazmat’ boot, which is set to arrive in ‘Bleached White’ and ‘Hospital Blue’ colourways, Olosunde gave an in-depth breakdown of what to expect from the utilitarian pair, with a main feature being the interchangeable outer jackets that provide a useful customisation addition.
Other notable inclusions on the robust silhouette include a completely waterproof composition, a faux fur shearling material on the sock liner and tongue area, as well as central Against Medical Advice branding on the interchangeable outer jackets. The ‘Bleached White’ pair is made in Italy and are constructed using recycled rubbers and other sustainable materials, whilst both pairs will also come in a duffle bag instead of a box to reduce excess waste.
Oluwole Olosunde’s first shoe release with Against Medical Advice is set to release at some point this September.
