This stormy weather may have put dampened your mood and made you second guess spring’s approach, but trust us, the Spring Statements Collection by H&M will soon reinstate your trust of warmer days ahead. Titled a ‘vibrant celebration of individuality’ and absolutely brimming with colour, the line-up sees a series of flowing silhouettes taking centre stage.
With a strong focus on un-ostentatious garments, which still promise to inspire confidence and appeal to both fans of laid-back and luxury aesthetics, the occasionwear styles are perfect for upcoming Eid celebrations, wedding guest dresses and other events.
Pre storm Eunice we were on track for a pretty dry (albeit chilly) month – we even saw blue skies and sunshine a few days in a row – so surely that means that once all the wind and rain passes we’ll be back on schedule? Here’s hoping for lighter evenings, alfresco dinners and picnics in the park sooner than usual. If that is on the agenda, though, we need to make some slight wardrobe adjustments and the H&M Spring Statements Collection has practically read our minds as to the sorts of things we’re looking for: classy coverage that’s both suitable for now as well as the clammy days of summer.
An impressive assortment of shapes – think cascading frills, bell sleeves, ruched hemlines and pleats galore – we suspect the collection will sell out as soon as it drops. The red, high-neck dropped-hem dress and the rippling sunburst pleated dress being the two pieces to go first.
It’s not just the modest aesthetic that’s commendable when it comes to H&M’s spring drop, though. Each piece in the collection is made with more sustainably sourced materials such as ECOVERO (sustainable viscose), recycled polyester, Tencel and organic cotton so you can make guilt-free updates to your wardrobe.
The collection will launch in two drops in selected stores and on H&M.com, the first drop being on the 3rd March 2022 – with a fresh palette of crisp white and pastels – and the second on the 17th March 2022 with richer, jewel-toned designs. We can’t wait.
