On 20 February, the actor and singer attended the 71st NBA All-Star Game in Cleveland, Ohio when an overzealous sports announcer seemed to get a bit ahead of himself when announcing their presence at the event.
After Megan and MGK made a few placating faces for the jumbotron, the sportscaster can be heard saying, “Please welcome Machine Gun Kelly and his wife, actress Megan Fox.”
From there, Megan laughs before slightly shaking her head. Turning to Kelly, she seemingly says something along the lines of, “I am not your wife,” though we can’t say for sure. However, it is clear she clocked the error.
Here’s a clip that Sports Center shared on Instagram:
To be fair, Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly are going to be married eventually. The couple announced their engagement on 12 January, with a video of the proposal.
“In July of 2020 we sat under this banyan tree,” Megan wrote in her IG caption.
“We asked for magic. We were oblivious to the pain we would face together in such a short, frenetic period of time. Unaware of the work and sacrifices the relationship would require from us but intoxicated off of the love. And the karma. Somehow a year and a half later, having walked through hell together, and having laughed more than I ever imagined possible, he asked me to marry him. And just as in every lifetime before this one, and as in every lifetime that will follow it, I said yes…and then we drank each other’s blood.” Reminder: don’t drink your partner’s blood.
MGK also shared the meaning behind the custom engagement rings in his own post.
