Euphoria: How To Copy Cassie’s Bubble Ponytail From Euphoria Episode 3

The good news is that though the style looks like it’s tricky to achieve, bubble braids are actually pretty easy to do yourself at home. Got a pen and paper? Good, let’s begin Bubble Braid Styling 101.

How to create a bubble braid ponytail:

  1. Tie your hair up in a ponytail. If you want a more relaxed look, pull out your fringe or any baby hairs that surround your face, or leave them tied back for a sleeker vibe.
  2. Take another hairband and tie it a couple of inches further down your ponytail… can you see where we are going with this?
  3. Using your fingers, tease the space between the first hair band and the second to loosen it into more of a bubble shape.
  4. Do the same thing again a few inches or centimetres lower (depending on how long your hair is or what your style preference is), and continue the process until you get to the bottom
  5. Leave a little gap at the end loose to keep the braid looking modern.. and you’re done.

You can play around with pulling the hair out between the ties until you achieve the look you’re after. If you have thin hair, or just less of it, you might want to tease the hair out as much as you can to give a fuller overlook look.

You can add a setting spray to finish if you’ve gone for a more ‘teased-out’ look, but the style shout stay in place anyway as long as you’ve tied the hair baubles tight enough.

For a real 90s vibe, you could even experiment with hair bobbles that have items, shapes or extra material attached. You could even try it out as two braids, rather than just one ponytail, and mix it up with a high or low initial pony to swap between a sporty feeling and a chic evening look.

Basically, the world is your oyster, Euphoria fan — and there’s no need to wake up at 4am. We know what we’ll be doing for V-Day…
